Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the association between diagnostic modality (SD vs. NSD) and short- and long-term outcomes in patients undergoing curative-intent surgery for CRC.
  • To compare outcomes between screen-detected and non-screen-detected colorectal cancer patients.

  • Retrospective cohort study of 1,360 patients aged 50-69 years undergoing CRC surgery in Veneto, Italy (2006-2018).

  • The findings reinforce the importance of CRC screening for improving patient prognosis.
