Background:

Rhopressa (netarsudil) is a novel Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK) inhibitor used for open-angle glaucoma.
It effectively lowers intraocular pressure (IOP) but commonly causes conjunctival hyperemia.

Observation:

A case of Rhopressa-induced corneal edema is presented in a 79-year-old African-American woman.
The patient had no prior history of corneal edema or uveitis, differentiating this case from previous reports.

Findings:

Corneal edema developed in a patient treated with Rhopressa for glaucoma.
The corneal edema resolved after discontinuation of Rhopressa, suggesting a causal link.

Implications:

This case suggests Rhopressa may cause corneal edema in individuals without pre-existing ocular conditions.
