On the impact of service-oriented patterns on software evolvability: a controlled experiment and metric-based

Service-based design patterns showed no clear positive impact on software evolvability for inexperienced developers. While efficiency slightly improved in some tasks, metrics indicated increased system size and varied effects on coupling.
