Plasma glycerol levels in men with hypertriglyceridemia

Elevated free glycerol can cause pseudohypertriglyceridemia. This study found that measuring free glycerol is generally unnecessary for most patients with hypertriglyceridemia, as it causes minimal false increases in triglyceride levels.
