Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the association between a childhood diagnosis of atopic dermatitis (AD) and subsequent educational attainment.
  • To determine if AD diagnosis in childhood correlates with lower levels of completed education by age 30.

Main Methods:

  • A population-based cohort study utilizing Danish health registry data from 1977 to 2017.
  • Inclusion of children diagnosed with AD before age 13, compared to matched controls and exposure-discordant siblings.
