Summary

This case study highlights a rare gallbladder carcinosarcoma with osteosarcomatous elements. 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging revealed an aggressive, FDG-avid gallbladder mass with calcifications, indicating poor prognosis.

Background:

  • The mass exhibited foci of calcification, suggestive of osteoid formation.
