Tacrolimus inhibits oral carcinogenesis through cell cycle control

Tacrolimus (FK506) significantly reduces oral cancer formation by inhibiting epithelial cell proliferation. This calcineurin inhibitor is a safe treatment for oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs), showing no adverse effects on organ function.
