Can magnesium sulfate prophylaxis reduce colistin nephrotoxicity?

Magnesium sulfate may protect kidneys from colistin-induced nephrotoxicity. This study in rats showed magnesium sulfate reduced harmful effects of colistin on kidney function and tissue.
