Rivaroxaban for cancer-associated venous thromboembolism

Rivaroxaban shows comparable efficacy and safety to other anticoagulants for cancer-associated venous thromboembolism (VTE). This systematic review found no significant differences in VTE recurrence, bleeding events, or mortality, supporting its use in this patient group.

- Rivaroxaban is as effective and safe as other anticoagulants in cancer patients with VTE.
- Further well-designed randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm these findings.
- Rivaroxaban represents a viable treatment option for cancer-associated VTE.
