Myelin basic protein (Mbp) promotes axonal regeneration from neural progenitor cells (NPCs) via a novel Mbp/L1cam/Pparγ pathway. This discovery offers potential for bioengineered NPC therapies to enhance recovery after spinal cord injury (SCI).
