  • Students reported the SBT-NURS as advantageous, satisfactory, convenient, and useful.

  • The SBT-NURS is a potentially effective tool for evaluating and enhancing clinical nursing competency in undergraduate students.
  • This smart device-based approach may improve learning outcomes in nursing education.
  • The findings support the integration of technology in nursing assessment and education.
