Grit Does Not Predict Burnout among First-Year Internal Medicine Residents

Grit did not prevent burnout in first-year Internal Medicine residents. Baseline burnout scores, however, effectively identified residents at higher risk for future burnout, suggesting a focus on early identification and intervention.
