Summary

Waterless alcohol-based antiseptic effectively reduces bacteria on rat skin before surgery. While warming methods did not significantly alter recovery from anesthesia, heavier male rats showed faster recovery, suggesting further research into thermal interventions for rat surgery is warranted.
