    Summary

We developed a novel, highly sensitive temperature sensor using self-phase modulation (SPM) in a custom microstructured optical fiber (MOF). This SPM-based optical fiber sensor achieves a sensitivity of 1.296 nm/°C, offering a promising new mechanism for temperature detection.
