Summary

Sudden unexpected death in dogs with epilepsy (pSUDED) occurs at a rate of 4.5-10%, similar to human SUDEP. Dogs with idiopathic epilepsy, especially those with brachycephalic syndrome or cluster seizures, face a higher risk.
