Summary

Radiographs of the small bowel in 182 healthy individuals revealed an average length of 291 cm. Measurements of jejunal and ileal folds showed no correlation with overall small bowel length.

Background:

  • Accurate measurement of small bowel dimensions is crucial for diagnosing various gastrointestinal conditions.
