Meniscal Entrapment After Tibial Plateau Fracture and Fixation: A Case Report

A trapped meniscus after tibial plateau fracture surgery caused persistent pain. Arthroscopy revealed the incarcerated meniscus, and its release led to excellent recovery.

- Arthroscopy was performed due to inconclusive MRI findings.
- The procedure revealed an incarcerated medial meniscus trapped at the fracture site.

- Surgical intervention involved an osteotomy with medial joint elevation and subsequent meniscus release.
- The patient demonstrated excellent functional recovery and symptom resolution at the 1-year follow-up.
Implications:
- This case highlights incarcerated meniscus as a potential cause of persistent pain after TPF surgery.
- Early diagnosis and surgical intervention, including meniscus release, can lead to favorable outcomes in such complex cases.
