Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the association between the Oncotype DX Genomic Prostate Score (GPS) and long-term oncological outcomes.
  • To determine if GPS predicts the risk of distant metastases (DM) and prostate cancer-specific mortality (PCSM) after radical prostatectomy (RP).

Main Methods:

  • A cohort of 428 patients treated with RP between 1987 and 2004 was analyzed.
  • Cox regression models were used to estimate the risk of DM and PCSM over 20 years.
  • A correction for regression to the mean (RM) was applied, and model discrimination was assessed using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve.
