Association between vitamin D levels and lower-extremity deep vein thrombosis: a case-control study

Low vitamin D levels are linked to deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This study found significantly lower serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) in DVT patients, suggesting a potential role for vitamin D in DVT prevention.
