Pulmonary Barotrauma in COVID-19 Patients: Invasive versus Noninvasive Positive Pressure Ventilation

COVID-19 patients requiring positive pressure ventilation (PPV) have a high risk of pulmonary barotrauma (PBT). Invasive ventilation showed a protective effect against PBT, while delaying intubation did not reduce risk.
