Summary

Gastrointestinal infections are common in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Mycobacterium avium intracellulare (MAI) and cytomegalovirus were the most frequent causes of infectious diarrhea in a study of 100 AIDS patients.
