Maternal multiple sclerosis is not a risk factor for neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring

Maternal multiple sclerosis (MS) does not increase the risk of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) in children. Family history of autoimmunity and NDDs, not maternal MS, were linked to NDD occurrence in offspring.

- Further research into the mechanisms underlying maternal autoimmunity and NDDs is warranted.
