Summary

This study enhanced the rabbit aneurysm model by increasing vessel stump length and using calcium chloride with elastase. This resulted in larger aneurysms, making the model more clinically relevant for testing neuroendovascular devices.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate if increased vessel stump length and calcium chloride in the incubation solution enhance aneurysm size in a rabbit model.

  • 32 New Zealand White rabbits were divided into four groups.
