Summary

Chemically modified curcumin (CMC 2.24) effectively reduces alveolar bone loss and inhibits matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) in animal models of periodontitis. This review highlights CMC 2.24 as a promising therapeutic agent for this inflammatory disease.
