Background:

  • Vacuum constrictor devices (VCDs) are noninvasive treatments for erectile dysfunction.
  • Clinical use of VCDs is limited by a lack of data on their effects on penile blood flow.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the impact of VCD constrictor rings on penile blood flow using penile plethysmography.
  • To assess the safety and efficacy of VCDs in patients with varying penile brachial index (PBI) values.

  • Penile plethysmography was used to measure penile blood flow in 51 men.
  • Measurements were taken before, during, and after the application of a VCD constrictor ring.
