Abstract:
A recent study reveals that an artificial intelligence algorithm can identify cancers of unknown primary origin by analyzing standard pathology slides. The algorithm correctly identified known tumor samples 83.4% of the time and identified cancers of unknown primary origin with 61% accuracy.
