This review explores interleukin-6 (IL-6) inhibitors as a potential treatment for severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) induced pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). These targeted therapies may help manage cytokine storm in COVID-19 patients.
