A modified surgical technique for treatment of thoraco-abdominal aortic aneurysms

Four patients aged 48-69 were operated upon for thoraco-abdominal aneurysms using a modified DeBakey technique reducing visceral ischemia to a minimum. The technique also pays attention to the preservation of the arterial supply to the spinal cord. All patients recovered and were discharged to their homes.
