Clarithromycin hypersensitivity in children: Is there a link with β-lactam hypersensitivity?

Confirmed clarithromycin hypersensitivity is rare in children, with oral provocation tests being essential for diagnosis. Previous beta-lactam allergy, especially after amoxicillin-clavulanic acid rash, increases clarithromycin hypersensitivity risk.
