  • A total of 3209 records were initially identified.
  • Only three studies met the inclusion criteria for the review.
  • Key outcomes included identification of suicide intervention programs, their similarities/differences, and staff training examples.

Conclusions:

  • There is a stark gap in the evidence for suicide-specific prevention interventions tailored to homeless populations.
  • Further research is critically needed to develop and evaluate targeted suicide prevention strategies.
  • Current interventions lack robust research support for this demographic.
