Summary

This study investigated increasing organic loading rate (OLR) and decreasing hydraulic retention time (HRT) in dry anaerobic digestion. While moderate increases were manageable, a high OLR of 12.5 kg TVS m⁻³ d⁻¹ caused failure, though recovery was possible.
