Proteolytic Enzyme Therapy in Complementary Oncology: A Systematic Review.

Proteolytic enzymes like bromelain, papain, and chymotrypsin show no clear benefit as supportive or antineoplastic therapy for cancer patients. While generally well-tolerated, current evidence is insufficient to confirm positive effects on treatment efficacy or side-effect reduction.
