[Radiation-modifying effect of UV and visible laser light]
Abstract:
A radiomodifying effect of the three types of laser radiation has been studied on HeLa cell culture. Low-intensity UV-radiation delivered as high repetition rate nanosecond pulses (the second harmonic of the copper vapours laser lambda = 271 nm) somewhat reinforces, and continuous low-intensity red radiation (He-Ne laser, lambda = 632.8 nm) of certain doses weakens the effect of 5 Gy gamma-radiation.
