Abstract:
Human "high Km" aldehyde dehydrogenases have been purified to homogeneity and characterized. The "high Km" enzymes are structurally and catalytically distinct from "low Km" aldehyde dehydrogenases; they are not isozymes of the "low Km" enzymes.
