Summary

Severe malunion in adolescents may require surgical correction. A mini-invasive osteotomy using a volar plate effectively restored alignment in a pediatric distal radius fracture case without complications.

Area of Science:

  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Pediatric Orthopedics
  • Hand Surgery

Background:

  • Pediatric distal radius fractures can lead to malunion, especially in adolescents with limited growth potential.
