Acute hydrocephalus caused by a gelatin-sponge material: a case report

A rare case of obstructive hydrocephalus caused by retained gel-foam material after endoscopic surgery is presented. Prompt removal of the foreign body restored cerebrospinal fluid flow, resolving the hydrocephalus.

- It underscores the importance of meticulous surgical technique and material removal to prevent delayed complications like hydrocephalus.
