The Challenges and Pitfalls of Detecting Sleep Hypopnea Using a Wearable Optical Sensor: Comparative Study

Arm oxygen desaturation (OD) is lower than fingertip OD during sleep hypopnea. Standard 3% OD drop criteria at the arm are unsuitable for diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) or assessing CPAP therapy.
