Summary

This study evaluated the subacute inhalation toxicity of 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK), a key lung carcinogen in tobacco smoke. NNK caused adverse effects, particularly in the nose, and exposure duration influenced toxicity more than concentration.
