Background:

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) presents with acute respiratory symptoms and poorly understood sequelae.
Thyroid dysfunction is an emerging, yet under-recognized, complication of COVID-19.

Observation:

A 51-year-old woman with recent COVID-19 diagnosis presented with chest pain, palpitations, dysphagia, and neck discomfort.
Clinical presentation mimicked other emergent conditions such as pulmonary embolism.

Findings:

The patient was diagnosed with COVID-19-induced thyroiditis.
Treatment included propranolol and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication.

Implications:

Emergency physicians must consider thyroiditis in patients with COVID-19 presenting with relevant symptoms.
