Low monoenergetic dual-energy CT (DECT) images significantly improve the detection of inflamed kidney foci in acute pyelonephritis compared to conventional imaging. Radiologists preferred these enhanced images, showing increased diagnostic accuracy.

- The findings support the use of monoenergetic DECT images for evaluating acute pyelonephritis.
