Brain tumor as a cause of false thrombosis of internal carotid artery

The authors present an unusual case of a 59-year-old woman suffering from a brain glioma, which gave the false angiographic picture of the internal carotid artery thrombosis in the neck. The possible mechanisms that might have come into play were discussed basing on the literature.
