Central nervous system (CNS) mesenchymal chondrosarcoma (MCS) is a rare, aggressive tumor often misdiagnosed preoperatively. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) for NCOA2 gene rearrangement aids in diagnosing this challenging CNS malignancy.
