Abstract:
Gut microbes play a role in modulating the gut-brain axis. Interactions among the gut microbiota, gut, and brain, are often called the "microbiota-gut-brain axis." Here, we review bidirectional signaling between the gut microbiota and the host-stress response based on the present and previous studies.
