Common animal models lack a distinct glenoid labrum: a comparative anatomy study

This study found that none of the animal models (rat, rabbit, dog, pig, goat) possessed a distinct fibrocartilaginous labrum like humans. Therefore, these animal models are inadequate for evaluating labral pathology.
