Cerebral microemboli during extracorporeal life support: a single-centre cohort study

Adults on extracorporeal life support (ECLS) experience significantly more cerebral microemboli, primarily gaseous, compared to controls. This increased microembolic load may contribute to neurological complications during ECLS treatment.
