Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To describe the occurrence of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) in patients with COVID-19.
  • To investigate potential mechanisms linking COVID-19 infection to the development of BPPV.

Main Methods:

  • A study of eight patients (4 male, 4 female, aged 44-69) who experienced vertigo during or after COVID-19 infection.
  • Clinical history and vestibular evaluation, including nystagmus assessment, were performed post-infection.

  • All eight patients were diagnosed with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
