The course of pregnancy and parturition has been examined in 29 women who had been operated on for temporal epilepsy at the age of 13 to 29 years. The period of follow-up varied from 2 to 18 years. It has been established that pregnancy in these women is attended by a somewhat elevated predisposition to cerebral convulsions so that anticonvulsive therapy is indicated for such patients during this period. Barbiturates displayed no dysmorphogenic action in these patients.
