Measuring Sensitivity to Viewpoint Change with and without Stereoscopic Cues

This study investigated how object symmetry affects perceived 3D shape at various distances. Results show that object symmetry does not influence depth perception, which is consistently distorted by viewing distance for both symmetric and asymmetric shapes.
