Background:

Hydatid cysts are a significant parasitic disease and public health concern, particularly endemic in Tunisia.
Retroperitoneal hydatid cysts, especially those involving the kidney, are uncommon, accounting for only 5% of visceral locations.
While kidney involvement is the most frequent in the urinary tract, the psoas muscle is a rare site, with approximately 70 cases documented.
