- Contrast-enhanced computed tomographic (CT) evaluation demonstrated the left ureter extending from the pelvis into the scrotum via the inguinal canal.
Findings:
- Screening ultrasound of the scrotum confirmed the intrascrotal extension of the ureter.
- The condition was diagnosed as a Paraperitoneal inguinal herniation of the ureter.
- Ultrasound provided detailed anatomical information, confirming the herniated ureter.
Implications:
- This case highlights the importance of considering ureteral herniation in patients with inguinoscrotal hernias and urinary symptoms.
- Cross-sectional imaging, particularly ultrasound, is effective in diagnosing ureteral herniation.
